ILDVR PC requirements Avoid using AMD, VIA and SIS chipset motherboards and/or onboard display cards. ILDVR System does not work with these hardware components properly. | |
| Motherboard | Those with Intel 815, 845 series, 845PE, 865 series, 865PE, 875 series, 875PE, 915 series, 945G, P35 chip sets. Examples: SuperMicro PDSLE motherboard, Intel: D865PERL, D915PCY, 945PVS, D945PSN, DP35DP(3 PCI slots, P35 chipset, PCI express Graphics) Asus: Commando with 4PCI slots,P965 chipset.(2007) P4P800SE, MSI: 865PE Neo2-F, 865PE Neo3-F, Gigabit: GA-945PL-S3E, GA***GME775, GA-8PE667, Ultra2 GA-8IPE1000PRO, Norco-840ae motherboard with PBP-15P12B PCI extender ( For up to eight 8 channel D1 cards) Please note: we can test only a few of motherboards in the market. |
| CPU | PIII 800MB or better for 4 & 8 ports; Celeron or P4 2GB CPU for 16 port-card or for multiple cards. A typical system with 48+ video channels installed, performing triplex operation (recording, monitoring, and allow remote viewing and log search) uses only 11% usage cycle of a 3GB P4 ! |
| RAM | 128MB for 4 & 8 ports, 256MB for 16 ports, more RAM for multiple ports. |
| Display card | ASUS, GeForce MX400, 6200, 6600, 7800 or ATI Radeon 9250, 9550 and above, 64M for 4 & 8 ports, 128M for 16 port-card or for multiple cards. |
| Power | 360W recommended if the system has >4 cards (>16 video channels). Larger wattage if you stack cards together. |
| HDD | Any hard drive at 7200rpm or faster, and 8MB cache or better. Please reserve a "C" drive for Windows and application software, and a "D" drive for video/audio storage. You can use one hard drive and partition it to "C" and "D". If there are more than 20 channels, please consider faster hard drives with more cache. Supports Raid-5. Please use reliable, good hard drives for the system, since they will be running at 24x7 non-stop for a few years. Make sure there are enough cooling fans and space the hard drives apart for maximum heat dissipation and therefore, increase reliability. |
| Net-Card | TPLINK (No limitation) |
| Monitor | CRT, LCD (No limitation) |
| Installation tip 1 | Please install Windows prior to installing any ILDVR cards into the PC. Windows XP Home will be sufficient. |
| Installation tip 2 | Prefer to have at least a D drive for storage. Can recognise multiple drives or Raid-5 array. There are lots of 48 channel installation sites with Raid 5 for storage, running non-stop for over two years. |
